All foreign citizens must register within 5 days after arrival to Kazakhstan. This is true even for the citizens of 49 countries (USA, Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Republic of Korea and Japan ant etc...) who can visit Kazakhstan under visa free regime (single-entry for stay not to exceed 30 days). Otherwise, foreign citizens will be fined by either Immigration or Border Patrol Services in addition to potential departure problems. In the past, such registration was only done at the local office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Migration Police) or at the hotel (where available). Many companies who invite overseas business travellers often register their partners themselves.
Kazakh Service Centre can arrange registration in Almaty and Astana only (at present time).
Please contact us to arrange registration or if you have any questions about the registration process.
